And in a boost to the Prime Minister, a straw poll of the audience conducted just minutes after the event ended found that some 50 per cent of those who listened to the Conservative leader now intend to vote for his party at the next election.

I have just watched it now, and it was basically a sanitised advert for the Conservative Party, apart from the Covid question, the questions were bland and the audience were Conservatives, although some of them didn't look happy with things, but Rishi may be slick and a brilliant performer, he was good in his presentation, but he was too good, he is all talk though and no action, he says all these brilliant things, but nothing brilliant happens.

I liked the way that it was done though, with those multiple camera angles, and GB News say they have invited Kier Starmer to do an identical show, I hope does do it, but I doubt if he will.

Whupsie, to answer your question , What would I do without a corner shop? I don't use corner shops because I'm not paying £1.50 for an item that I can get in a Soopermarket for 50p, If I run out of any item, I do bawt until I can shop at the standard rip off prices,

When me and wife went on a trip to Robben Island an introductory talk was given by a man of Indian heritage. One of his jokes was to ask why Indians are no good at football. The answer was because every time they got a corner they wanted to open a shop.
A former inmate of the prison then took us on a tour of the prison including Nelson Mandela’s cell and later the quarry where he worked.

Will we elect a candidate likely to be a crap PM

Will we return the current thieving, incompetent miscreants?

Mediocracy or ruination?

All it would take is a ' stand up' guy with a Boris Johnson attitude to say,
" I will stop the dingies coming over and send many of them back" and, No matter what party he is in, They will win hands down and, that was proved with the Brexit because, many thought that, was a vote for stopping them,

The dingys only started after brexit. And Boris never sent any asylum seekers back. Boris couldn't send the dingys back because of what he agreed after brexit he signed it off

Boris Johnson Did what WE voted for, Teresa May faffed about for 2 years shuffling paper getting no where, So Boris came in and did what WE voted for, Yes he had a beer and a piece of cake During the Covid mess up and, It was't him making the rules, He was following the scientists guidelines BUT. he had an important job at the time which involved moving about, Yes he tells lie like ALL Politian's do .
He got us the vaccine before Europe because HE got us out, So all you people with short memories. Remember what He DID do and not what he could't do because his back stabbers stopped him,

Forgive them Please Mr Johnson, they know not what they Do,,

How many boozy events in Downing Street during lockdown?

Someone on here asked to name one good thing which the Tories have done.

How about, getting rid of Boris?

He does not lie like other politicians, (Trump Excepted). He lies constantly and consistently.

Peter Oborne's book identifies him lying to house of commons on more than FORTY occasions prior to any of the Partygate stuff. He got away with blustering his way out of any attempt to confront him with this, until partgate yielded irrefutable evidence of lying to the house.

If he had followed Scientific Advice, we would have had the "short circuit", and likely not have needed the second lockdown, nor the excess deaths which followed.

Boris would, "Rather see the bodies piling up in the streets", he told us so himself.

Tom, you do lower yourself in defence of his malfeasances.

I'm not disputing the legality of electric bikes!

The point I was making is that you ostentatiously boast about how many miles you have done on your bike, and how much exercise you have gained from your travels on it, when its electric!
A bit like someone saying " I have been out today and travelled 15 miles" but in reality, 14 of them have been on the bus! The other mile was spent walking to the bus stop!

Now, who is "fic"?

tom,

Surely it was nowt do with people being afraid to go out!

It was to reduce close human contact so that the Virus's replication rate would fall, and cause the numbers succumbing to Covid to cease increasing, and start to decline.

122 complaints to TV Watchdog Ofcom.

The complaints related to the format of the programme.

The Prime Minister selecting questions that promoted his own party and criticised his opponents. In effect, a party political broadcast masquerading as a question and answer.

Claims that NONE of the submitted questions were asked, only those PM himself had brought along to answer.

Yes you're right and most level headed thinking people did that, We spaced ourselves 2 metres apart but, The Gov't know that common sense is not as common as it should be so, imposed those, lock down rules which, most people used their own interpretation of how it applied to them,
For instance a key worker was allowed out and, Everyone who worked at Yale, went to the beach

A lot like yourself! You have the ability to get on a bike, but not the ability to absorb the physical content that is required to pedal it. Hence, the electric bike

Tommy Tee , I can assure you that inside my head are nothing but sweet things like, Sunshine , golden sands, empty tarmac .pothole free roads. green fields with roaming hedgehogs and spring lambs, There are swallows flying high in the blue sky and I'm cycling through the valley on my e bike to the bar on the beach and the smell of the sea air , In the distance is a sign it reads,

The cat sat on the mat
and I sat on the cat
The cat went flat
and spread over the mat
and that was the end of the cat,

And as I rode past, It brought a smile to my day,,
